10:30am Reach the highest peak of the park for expansive views over the surrounding countryside.
11:00am Visit the Royal Chedis at the summit of Doi Inthanon. The modern chedis contain stylised Buddhaimages and are decorated with interesting terracotta tiled murals.
12:00pm Enjoy a picnic lunch.
01:00pm Visit a Hmong hilltribe village and a Royal Project. Royal Projects throughout Thailand were instigated by His Majesty the King. The main purpose is to aid Thai farmers and hilltribe villagers alike by helping them to improve their quality of life and discourage the growing of poppies. Organic farming techniques taught through educational programmes provide farmers and hilltribe villagers with alternative ways to support their families and local communities
02:00pm Arrive at Wachiratarn Waterfall, one of the four beautiful waterfalls in the park.
03:00pm Visit Wat Phra That Sri Chom Thong, which dates back to the 15th century. The temple was built in both the“Lanna” and “Burmese” architectural styles. On display is a fine exhibit of intricate handcrafted wood carvings and Buddha images

Description
At 2,565 metres, Doi Inthanon is Thailand’s highest park and located in Thailand’s most renowned area in the north, a cool mountainous retreat and ideally situated away from the tropical heat of lower altitudes. The majority of the mountain is preserved as a national park (482 sq kms) except for smaller areas that have been set aside for agriculture and human habitation. The park has for impressive waterfalls, many terraced rice fields, picturesque valleys and a few small hilltribe villages. Exotic beautiful mountain butterflies, wild flowers, interesting wildlife and more than 300 species of birds inhabit the park.
