Khun Kitti Pornsiwakit, Board of Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Chairman of the Smart Tourism Subcommittee of the Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT), stated that sustainable tourism consists of three key components: People, Planet, and Profit. The “Planet” component involves environmental conservation in four areas: reducing energy consumption, waste management, water management, and selecting low-carbon suppliers. The “People” component aims to educate and adapt three groups – tourists, communities, and businesses – to low-carbon tourism. Lastly, the “Profit” component ensures that both businesses and communities benefit financially, enabling them to continue sustainably and balanced.
